Kitchen paper towels are capable of absorbing moisture when used dry and removing grease when used wet-a functionality achieved not through chemical additives, but by virtue of the unique three-dimensional fibrous mesh structure inherent to non-woven fabrics.

 

During the manufacturing process, this structure is endowed with a multitude of micron-scale pores-formed via thermal bonding or hydro-entanglement techniques-which simultaneously ensure breathability and facilitate the rapid absorption and retention of liquids along the capillary channels within the fibers.

 

In its dry state, the material exhibits high surface roughness, allowing it to effortlessly trap oil films and debris; when exposed to water, the fibers undergo moderate swelling, enhancing pore tension and exerting a dual "grip-and-encapsulate" action on stubborn grease stains-thereby achieving removal through physical entrapment rather than chemical dissolution.
